First get the movie file to your hard drive. Right click on the movie link and select "save target as" (IE), "Save Link Target As" (Netscape), "Save Link. AS" (Firefox), now save it to a folder on your hard drive.

During our transition to High Definition the website contained multiple Video formats.  You may have run across them, if you had any trouble playing them we have listed possible solutions for Windows and MAC users below.

In future all your HD content will be in DivX Hd format, and all our standard definition content will be in WMV.

If you are running Windows XP then you should download and install Media Player 11 for XP It may not fix your problems out right but its much better at finding the appropriate codec to decode various video file formats

In order to smoothly playback HD content regardless of format your computer must meet certain minimum requirements.

Windows HD Requirements (to play 720p video)

• Minimum Configuration
• Windows XP
• Windows Media Player 9 Series
• 2.4 GHz processor or equivalent
• 384 MB of RAM
• 64 MB video card
• 1024 x 768 screen resolution
• 16-bit sound card Speakers

Apple HD Requirements (to play 720p video)

• 1.8 GHz PowerMac G5 or faster Macintosh computer;
• 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo or faster
•  At least 256MB of RAM
• 64 MB or greater video card

Windows Users:

• Download and install the Windows DivX Codec
• If that didn't work then download and install Windows VLC media player

MAC Users:

• Download and install the MMAC DivX Codec

  If you are running XP then Download and install Media Player 11 for XP
• If that didn't work then download and install Windows VLC media player

MAC Users:

• Download and install MAC VLC media player
• If that doesn't work you can try
  Flip4Mac for HD or standard playback or
  WMV 9 for Mac for standard playback only
  MAC users read the site carefully and choose the best solution for your needs.

Windows

• Download and install the Windows VLC media player

MAC Users:

• Download and install the MAC VLC media player
• If that doesn't work Apple sells an MPEG2 decoder that should solve your problem

Simply put a codec is method your computer uses to decode a video file. Which is one of the reasons we consistently suggest VLC it uses its own internal methods to decode videos. Installing additional codecs will change the methods used by your computer to decode videos. This can be a good thing because it can enable playback in your favorite media player, the one your used to using.

However additional codecs might negatively affect the way your computer decodes existing file formats.  Its for this reason that if you decide to follow these steps, please do so at your own dissertation.  We take no responsibility for how these suggestions affect your computer nor will we provide technical support for how your machine behaves after installing these codecs.
